| Sulphurous springs (Kolam Air Panas) are one of the geotourism attractions in Tawau Hills Park (Taman Bukit Tawau). To go there, just walk the 3.2 KM "Kolam Air Panas" trail in the Park. After about an hour, you will smell sulphur in the air and reach the first sulphurous spring. You can find about 10 sulphurous springs along the Tawau River, but the first one is the most beautiful. Do not expect any "hot" spring though, as the springs are mixed with river water, making the spring lukewarm. |
